In most loving memory of Eyop's Early Game "Clive"

17 Sept. 2005 - 10 Aug. 2007

Darling Clive will be remembered as a very sweet and easy-going puppy. Clive stayed here, with his sister Kim, until the age of 10 weeks, so as to get him ready to fly to Sweden. All his other brothers and 1 sister had left for their new homes already. Clive never put a foot - or paw - wrong, in all these 3 weeks. Allways happy, happy to see my other dogs and happy with his sister Kim, a real darling to live with.

Then, on November 25th came the big day for him to take the airplane from Brussels to Gothemburg. It was a rainy day in Brussels, and Etienne kindly volunteered to accompany me to the airport with puppy Clive. I felt a bit sorry for little Clive, as he did not know what was happening, leaving his mother, sister and my other dogs behind, but I was confident that Clive was going to have a super life up in Sweden. Normally, I never let a puppy leave unaccompanied by plane or train. But I agreed this one time as Lotta had spent a lot of time on my homepage. Clive was a thank you for the work she had done.  I received many lovely pictures of Clive and as his breeder, this meant a lot to me... Clive as a growing puppy, Clive in the snow, Clive in the forest or swimming or retrieving. It was almost as if Clive was here.

And then, on August 10, 2007, the tragedy happened, unforeseen. Clive and one of Lotta's other dogs, Martin, were poisened whilst on a forest walk with Lotta and her daughter. I had no words for many days, but now I want to think of Clive as the happy young Golden he was, with this lovely expression he inherited from his mother, and his wonderful will to please. Luckily, clive's mother, Kayla, had a super 2nd litter in June 2007, from Lux.,Dutch,German Ch. Matador vd Beerse Hoeve, 9 lovely puppies, so now Kayla will live on in her daughters and sons from both litters.

Your life was short, too short for us all, but rest in peace, darling Clive.
